Powered by; Twin Caterpillar engines with Twin Disc MGX Quick Shift gearboxes , the CAT C32’s are rated at 1450hp driving conventional shaft & screw sterngear with Clements engineering 5 bladed hyperform props, offering a comfortable cruising speed of 25 knots with a sprint speeds of 28-30knots depending on loading. Fuel economy is vastly improved over water-jet propulsion systems with this conventional shaft & screw arrangement allowing for lower engine RPM during operations. 

Viking is capable of carrying 14,000 ltrs of bunkering fuel, as well as having a deck cargo carrying capacity in excess of 15 tons. Capable of carrying this cargo mainly on the massive foredeck which has been designed to transport a standard 20ft shipping container on the bow and a second 10ft container on the stern. Fitted with an 8t/m telescopic crane on the bow she is fully self sufficient for loading and unloading of cargo.

Also incorporated within the bow consoles are twin fuel delivery/transfer pumps capable of delivering 75LPM@40m head, delivering a multitude of fuels from individually selectable bunker tanks totalling 14,000 ltrs.Hydraulically driven 1200psi pressure washing system with selectable sea water or 2000ltrs of fresh water washing capability.Hydraulically driven seawater Desmi fire fighting pump producing continuously rated 2” delivery flow @ 60psi.       

The stern deck is fitted with a unique retractable dive ladder/platform facility enabling safe and easy entry and exit at sea level.

All exterior decks are coated with ABC Marine,s unique anti fatigue, hard wearing high density rubber granule flooring, to give an excellent non slip finish with the added benefit of high level sound insulation. Available in a variety of standard colours with rescue zones and boarding access clearly marked out in high visibility with the wetpour application system.
