ABC Ltd have won the project to produce the ferry to transport VIP’s to the latest in luxury venues owned and operated by Amazing Retreats. Following the developement and refurbisment this unusual venue Spitbank Fort located in the Solent will become one of the areas most presigistous and opulent reteats. With its owners spendind millions on the referbisment a suitable craft is needed to transport the honoured guest to and from the Fort. The boat will be powered by twin outboard motors and be coded to carry 12 passengers plus 2 crew.

ABC are please to announce work is underway for a new 19m Cat. This is the largest boat to date and will add to ABC’s already extensive range of craft. This boat will once again go into service in the busy offshore windfarm industry. This boat has been commissioned by Carling Charters to enhance their substantial fleet. Delivery will be early summer 2012, Doosan engines has been chosen to power this vessel coupled to Twin Disc “Quickshift” gearboxes and Clements Marine shafts ans Stern Gear.

Excel Marine Services takes delivery of their latest 18m Windfarm Support Vessel.
Aluminium BoatBuilding Co Ltd has recently delivered “Viking” to Excel Marine Services Ltd in Whitstable, this 18.25m aluminium catamaran is the 16th “Catfish” catamaran whose design was specifically developed for UK and surrounding waters. The vessel is the 8th “Catfish Crewcat” supplied into the growing offshore windfarm industry. This is Excel Marine’s fith catamaran in as many years with a further boat (another 18.25m) on order from ABC Ltd. “Viking” is a truly versatile vessel with many additional features to those fitted to “Vulcan”. She is powered by twin Cat C32 1470hp motors coupled to Twin Disc MGX 6620A 1.72:1 QuickShift boxes running through Clements Marine 2 3/4in shafts and 31x 36 Hydroform 5 bladed propellers. Although the engines are currently de-rated she will still achieve speeds of 29knots with more to come when full power is available, making her one of the fastest boats currently in the industry.
The Additional features are fuel bunkering of 14000 liters to a height of 75ltrs per minute at a head of 40ft, salt and fresh water high pressure tower washing facilities, retractable diving platform/ ladder assembly for ease of access to and from the water, high pressure high volume firefighting pump.

The vessel is the 6th “Catfish Crewcat” supplied into the growing offshore windfarm industry. This is Excel Marine’s fourth catamaran in as many years with a further two boats (another 17m and 15.5m) on order from ABC Ltd, the latter to be a new design high speed response aluminium cat.

ABC Ltd will next month launch the latest model in its already sucessful offshore support catamaran range. The new 15.5m boat will bridge the gap between the 14m and 18m boats already working sucessfully in the offshore renewable energy field

ABC Ltd is the preferred manufacture for high speed patrol boats for the Caribbean, these craft are in operation in St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, these boats are used to protect cruise ships from the threat of waterbourne attack and are vital to the economy of these islands. These 10 metre Diesel Stern-drive driven aluminium craft have a “Deep Vee” type hull to combine stability and comfort with efficiency. Powered by Twin Yanmar 4LHA-STZP 4-Cylinder Turbocharged, Marine Diesel engines, commercially rated at 240hp each. Fitted to Mercruiser BravoII Outdrive legs with power assisted steering, and stainless steel propellers, this will achieve sprint speeds in the region of 45kts.
